Our Nurse Calling System is designed based on a detailed market input and considering the demerits of the current scenario of such implemented systems. Listed below are few highlights of our system.

  • No Wiring between Rooms / beds / toilets and Nurse Station.
  • A major cost is involved for wiring between the bed / toilet and nurse station which is eradicated in total.
  • Not necessary to have nurse station in the same location. Can change the location of nurse station in future, based on the demands of infrastructure improvement. No additional cost involved for shifting the nurse station, as it is not wired and terminated to a single point.
  • User-friendly features and easy understanding for nurses with very minimal onsite training.
  • Provision to call Doctor / Extra assistance
  • Provision to send SMS on a hierarchical basis (up to 3 levels of hierarchy), if a CALL is not attended.
  • All CALL's are time-stamped and history available
  • System generated reports available for hospital authorities
  • Provision to spell room number / bed number ON CALL
  • A customized door unit to indicate the CALL Status (CALLED AND NOT ATTENDED - RED, CALLED FOR EXTRA ASSISTANCE - AMBER, CALLED A DOCTOR - BLUE, CALL ACKNOWLEDGED / ATTENDED - GREEN)
  • A completely configurable individual gadgets (Bed unit, Toilet unit, door unit, Remote unit)
  • Any of the above units can be interchanged between various rooms by the hospital authorities and re-configured in the software. Dependency on vendor reduced to large extent.
  • A complete open-source software
  • Software scalable to any extent and can be integrated easily with Hospital management software
  • Merging of nurse station, changing of rooms from one nurse station to another, changing of bed /toilet unit from one room to another can be done through the software easily.
  • High level of Security provided in the software - Avoid tampering of Records
  • Generate any reports based on CALL - Customized as per client's requirement.
  • Colours displayed in the application can be customized as per client requirement
  • Volume control along with Mute of voice provision as per client's requirement.
  • Can provide change of CALL tones
  • Configure time taken for forwarding a call to next level of hierarchy through SMS. This time can be changed directly by hospital authorities without addition of any hardware / software.
  • The front fascia can be modified as per client's requirement. However, we would like to retain the same size.

1. Call from bed
  • Patient press call button in the bed unit, call data Packet send to nurse station. For this packet Nurse Station should send acknowledgement. Otherwise Bed unit send data packet continuously.
  • Nurse station sends door status to the bed unit, which is connected to the door unit. Bed unit should send acknowledgement for this otherwise nurse station send door status 3 times.

Note: The same flow used for all communication from bed unit to nurse station. Except reset.

2. Nurse press wait button in the nurse station
  • Nurse press wait button in the nurse station, wait data protocol send to the Bed unit. For this packet bed unit should send acknowledgement otherwise nurse station send 3times wait data protocol .If no acknowledgement received for three time nurse station shows communication error in the front end.
  • Nurse station sends door status to the bed unit, which is connected to the door unit. Bed unit should send acknowledgement for this otherwise nurse station send door status 3 times.

Note: The same flow used for all communication from bed unit to nurse station. Except reset.

3. Nurse press reset button in the bed unit
  • Nurse press reset button in the bed unit, Reset protocol send to the nurse station, for this protocol nurse station should send acknowledgement otherwise bed unit continuously send reset protocol.
  • Nurse station send reset command to the toilet unit which is connected to the same room. For this protocol toilet unit should send acknowledgement, otherwise Nurse station send reset command for 3 times.
  • Nurse station sends door status to the bed unit, which is connected to the door unit. Bed unit should send acknowledgement for this otherwise nurse station send door status 3 times.

Note: The same flow used for all communication from bed unit to nurse station. Except reset.

4. Call from toilet
  • Patient press call button in the Toilet unit, call data Packet send to nurse station. For this packet Nurse Station should send acknowledgement. Otherwise Toilet unit send call data packet continuously.
  • Nurse station sends door status to the bed unit, which is connected to the door unit. Bed unit should send acknowledgement for this otherwise nurse station send door status 3 times.

Note: 1. We can connect more than one bed unit in a room but only one toilet unit and one door unit.
2. Nurse station send Door status to bed unit which is connect to the door unit.
3. We can reset the toilet unit from any bed unit in the room.

Nurse Station
If computer is provided in the nurse station we can provide the software to work in the system or else we can provide a separate monitoring device.

Note : If a display unit is to be provided in the corridor or in a common location with identifications of a nurse call, it can be done with a 24 inch monitor (supplied by us) which shows the different status through Light indications
